The Mission

To design, implement, customize, and maintain the Odoo ERP system, ensuring all departments operate efficiently and in alignment with company processes. "The Software Engineer ensures that EcoGen runs on Odoo—not outside it".

Key Responsibilities

• Implementation: Set up and configure Odoo modules including CRM, Accounting, Inventory, and Manufacturing.
• Customization: Adapt workflows for SmartHouse, Magic Soil, and Biogas project tracking.
• Data Integrity: Clean and structure master data for customers, suppliers, and products.
• User Support: Provide daily troubleshooting and train staff on Odoo usage per role.
• Reporting: Build real-time dashboards and high-level KPIs for the CEO and Finance.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years in software development.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Odoo, Python, and PostgreSQL.
• Qualification: BSc. in Software Development or related qualifications.
• Mindset: A problem-solver with high attention to detail and the ability to train non-technical users.

Working Conditions

• Location: Based in Lilongwe or Blantyre.
• Nature: Fast-paced environment with occasional travel for field support.
