POSITION: SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN
SME Clinic, on behalf of its client—a fully integrated multidisciplinary security and facilities management company—is currently seeking a Systems Technician.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled and experienced CCTV, Systems & Alarm Technician, proficient in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of CCTV systems, intrusion alarms, access control systems, and related security technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties and functions include:
- Install and service a range of alarm systems, including intrusion detection, panic buttons, and electric fencing.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on security systems.
- Diagnose and repair technical faults within CCTV, alarm, and access control systems.
- Configure remote viewing functionalities for both mobile and desktop platforms.
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation, service logs, and reports.
- Provide dedicated technical support to clients and internal teams.
- Ensure all system installations meet stringent company and client standards.
- Support the seamless integration of security systems with monitoring and control room operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Electronics, ICT, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 2–3 years of experience specifically in CCTV and alarm system installation.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and remote access systems.
- Experience with electric fencing and access control systems is considered an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Possession of a valid driver’s licence.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
