About Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc
Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is the leading producer of raw, refined, and specialty sugars in the country, employing over 9000 individuals. It is part of Illovo Sugar Africa Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc (ABF).
Key Duties
- Prepare accurate, timely, and insightful management reporting in a standardized format, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for budget and strategic planning.
- Develop and track cost performance indicators.
- Attend relevant budget holder meetings to ensure costs are controlled within budget.
- Review budget phasing against actual expenditure and address queries.
- Liaise with budget holders to understand estimates, changes, and ensure major variances are investigated and appropriate corrective actions are taken within Illovo.
- Prepare and distribute cost reports, investigating and reallocating incorrect costs, and identifying potential improvements or efficiencies.
- Adhere to Illovo's procedures, policies, and guidelines, including SHERQ, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification with applied skills level passed for ACCA or CIMA.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a Finance environment.
- Proficiency in business analysis to generate business insights and measurable value.
- Exceptional accounting and reporting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
