Job Summary
This role is designed to support the efficient delivery and coordination of security services within Regional Medical Stores, ensuring the proper implementation of established security systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing approved security systems, operations, and procedures at the branch level.
- Coordinate security activities within the branch and provide security-related guidance to branch management.
- Oversee contracted security personnel, verifying adherence to all security protocols.
- Manage the operations of the security control room and monitor various security systems.
- Maintain strict control and custody of keys according to established procedures.
- Review and analyse daily security reports, escalating any incidents as necessary.
- Respond effectively to security incidents and emergencies in collaboration with branch management and the Security Services Officer.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections to uphold security standards.
- Monitor CCTV, vehicle tracking systems, radio communication equipment, and electric fence installations.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all security-related duties.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
- A Diploma in Security Studies or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent.
Experience
- A minimum of two years of pertinent experience in security operations, ideally within a demanding public or private sector environment.
- Previous junior police or military service, particularly with expertise in electronic security systems, will be considered an advantage.

- Proficiency with modern security systems and surveillance technologies.
- Strong analytical and investigative capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate swift responses to emergencies.
