Job Title: Media Production Officer

Position Overview
We seek a skilled Media Production Officer to expertly document and manage field content from Muslim Hands' projects and activities. Collaborating closely with the Media Coordination Officer, your role will involve capturing high-quality photographs, videos, interviews, and compelling beneficiary stories. You will be responsible for submitting raw content and ensuring all media assets are meticulously organized and uploaded to SharePoint. This position may also contribute to producing ready-to-use video content as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Media Coordination Officer to meet content objectives as per established plans and briefs.


• Travel to project sites to capture exceptional photos, videos, interviews, beneficiary testimonials, and project operations.


• Proactively identify additional content and storytelling opportunities during fieldwork.


• Record both planned content and spontaneous, immediate-use material suitable for digital and social media channels.


• Submit raw photos, videos, interviews, and other captured media within stipulated timelines.


• Produce and edit videos or other media content for immediate deployment when requested.


• Ensure all collected content adheres to Muslim Hands' brand guidelines, safeguarding policies, consent protocols, and content standards.


• Organize, label, and upload all captured media to the designated SharePoint folders.


• Verify that content submissions are complete and properly archived.


• Liaise with relevant field teams to facilitate content collection needs.

Skills & Requirements

• Proficiency in photography and videography.


• Solid understanding of camera operation, lighting, audio recording, framing, and composition.


• Competent video editing skills with experience in relevant software.


• Strong aptitude for visual storytelling and digital content creation.


• Ability to conduct and record engaging interviews and beneficiary narratives.


• Capacity to follow content briefs and identify emergent opportunities in the field.


• Excellent organizational and file management capabilities.


• Readiness and ability to undertake frequent travel for fieldwork.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Media, Film, Photography, Communications, Digital Media, or a related discipline.


• A minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in photography, videography, media production, or field content gathering.


• A strong portfolio showcasing photography, videography, interviews, and relevant video projects.


• Previous experience within an NGO, charity, humanitarian, or development sector is advantageous.
