H.E. Jackson Engineering Ltd (HEJ) is one of the leading providers of engineering solutions in Malawi and serves all sectors of the economy including mining, energy, agriculture, construction and manufacturing. The company has vacancies at one of its Project Sites in Rumphi.
Key Duties
- Drive and operate a tipper truck for delivery and collection of construction materials
- Ensure materials are transported safely without spillage or damage
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (brakes, tyres, oil, lights, fuel e.t.c)
- Load and offload materials in coordination with site personnel
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel usage and mileage
- Adhere to all traffic laws and occupational health and safety standards
- Report accidents, breakdowns and mechanical faults promptly
- Keep the vehicle clean and ensure it is serviced regularly
- Follow instructions from supervisors and dispatch teams
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent
- Valid Malawian driver’s licence (appropriate heavy duty category Class C or G)
- At least 2-5 years proven experience operating a tipper truck or heavy vehicle
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic offences
