LECTURERS – INFORMATION SYSTEMS & BUSINESS LAW (2 POSITIONS)

JOB SUMMARY

The selected candidates will be instrumental in providing high-caliber teaching and learning experiences at the ASF College of Accountancy. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, developing comprehensive learning materials, assessing student performance, offering academic support, maintaining precise academic records, and actively participating in the ongoing enhancement of academic programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures in your area of specialization.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans, course materials, assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Evaluate and grade student work according to established institutional standards.
  • Maintain accurate and current academic and examination records for all students.
  • Provide essential academic guidance, mentorship, and support to students.
  • Participate actively in examination processes, including invigilation, marking, and moderation.
  • Monitor and provide constructive feedback on students' academic progress.
  • Engage in departmental meetings, academic planning sessions, and other institutional activities.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and continuous improvement of academic curricula.
  • Foster a professional, supportive, and disciplined learning environment conducive to academic success.
  • Adhere to all institutional policies, academic standards, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the Director or appropriate authority.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Law, Business Law, Business Administration, Education, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor of Accountancy degree accompanied by UCE qualifications.
  • A relevant professional qualification, along with a TCM license.
  • A minimum of 3 years of pertinent teaching or professional experience, preferably within a tertiary education setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise and competency in the relevant subject matter.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, classroom management, and time-management capabilities.
  • Unquestionable integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and a firm commitment to academic excellence.
