POSITION: FINANCE SUPPORT OFFICER
Job Overview
The Finance Support Officer will manage field-level financial operations. This includes meticulously maintaining financial records, processing payments, overseeing petty cash and bank transactions, and ensuring strict adherence to the organization's financial policies and procedures.
This role is crucial for ensuring the effective management of project finances and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations and Administration
- Collaborate with project staff to prepare monthly cash projections.
- Execute payment processing in line with organizational policies and procedures.
- Verify payment requests and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Record cash and bank transactions promptly and accurately.
- Administer petty cash, ensuring compliance with approved holding limits.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and cash summaries.
- Address and resolve outstanding reconciliation items.
- Maintain an organized system for financial records and supporting documents.
- Generate required financial and operational reports.
- Provide support for emergency response activities as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrate a minimum of one (1) year of relevant professional experience.
- Prior experience working with an NGO is considered a significant advantage.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Possess excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
- Uphold a high standard of integrity and meticulous attention to detail.
