Waters Edge Hotel is a growing hospitality destination in Liwonde, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality service and cuisine. The hotel is seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join its kitchen team.
The Commis Chef will support the kitchen team in food preparation, maintain high hygiene standards, and assist in delivering quality dishes in line with hotel standards.
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations
• Ensure proper food storage and handling procedures
• Certificate in Hospitality, Food Production, Culinary Arts, or Professional Cookery (Level 2–4)
• 0–2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen
• Internship or industrial attachment will be considered
• Practical kitchen experience is an added advantage
• Basic cooking and knife-handling skills
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Strong teamwork and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and positive attitude
