INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

NCA-DCA Malawi Joint Country Programme

Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is dedicated to partnering with individuals and organizations globally to combat poverty and injustice. We provide critical emergency assistance during crises and support long-term development within local communities. NCA also champions advocacy for just decisions from public authorities, businesses, and religious leaders to address the root causes of poverty.

NCA operates internationally in over 20 countries and is a member of the ACT Alliance, a global network of 140 churches and church-related organizations focused on humanitarian aid, advocacy, and development. Norwegian Church Aid has been active in Malawi since 2002, while DanChurchAid (DCA) has a presence dating back to the 1980s. In 2021, NCA and DCA merged their operations in Malawi, forming a Joint Country Programme (JCP).

The Malawi JCP envisions a just, resilient, and inclusive Malawian society that fosters economic growth. This vision is pursued through three interconnected long-term goals: Save Lives, Build Resilience, and Seek Justice. For the period 2025-2029, NCA-DCA Malawi's strategic priorities include Economic Development and Food Security, Climate and Environmental Stewardship, Fighting Inequalities (FI), and addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
