Job Description: Perivoli Schools Trust (PST) is seeking a skilled Impact Assessor to join its team. This role is crucial for enhancing Early Childhood Development across Malawi through comprehensive teacher and classroom evaluations, child development assessments, and quality reviews of educational centers. This is an independent service provider contract, with payment linked to successful completion of assigned tasks.

Core responsibilities include:

• Perform structured observations of teachers and classroom environments.
• Administer straightforward child development assessments according to established protocols.
• Document details pertaining to center infrastructure and teacher profiles.
• Ensure precise data entry using tablets or mobile devices.
• Produce clear, unbiased, and factual reports, refraining from personal interpretations or coaching.
• Foster professional and respectful interactions with educators and local communities.
• Engage in all required assessor training, calibration sessions, and review meetings.

Qualification & Experience Required: Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field. Priority will be given to candidates with further qualifications in Impact and Monitoring, ECD Education, or Public Policy.
• Command over 3 years of experience within Early Childhood Development centers, educational institutions, or professional organizations specializing in monitoring and evaluation.
• Exhibit a profound grasp of classroom dynamics and child development, enabling accurate observation and assessment of teaching methodologies and child participation.
• Fluent in English and proficient in at least one relevant local language.
• Possess keen observational skills, fundamental digital literacy (for tablet or smartphone data entry), and the capacity to precisely follow scripts and scoring guidelines.
• Demonstrate punctuality and meticulous record-keeping abilities.
• Prepared to travel to rural communities. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in low-resource settings.
• Display patience, attentiveness, and respect towards both teachers and children.
• Must have access to a computer for submitting data, communication, and report generation.
