Malawi Catering Services Limited is seeking two Poolside Servers/Waiters to enhance the guest experience at Mpale Cultural Village. This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional food and beverage service in a relaxing poolside setting. The successful candidates will be responsible for taking orders, serving items promptly, maintaining area cleanliness, and providing outstanding customer care aligned with high service standards. We are looking for adaptable, enthusiastic individuals with a strong "I can-do attitude" to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patrons courteously, present menus, offer recommendations, and assist with order selection.


• Accurately record and relay food and beverage orders to the kitchen or bar.


• Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and optimal temperature.


• Proactively address guest needs and respond promptly to requests or issues.


• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of poolside tables, loungers, and service areas.


• Ensure all service stations are adequately stocked with essential items such as napkins, cutlery, and glassware.


• Adhere to all hygiene and sanitation practices during food and beverage handling.


• Process guest payments accurately (if applicable).


• Collaborate effectively with kitchen, bar, and other departments to ensure seamless service flow.


• Assist with the setup and closing procedures for the pool area, including furniture arrangement and supply checks.


• Comply with all establishment policies, safety regulations, and grooming standards.


• Promote menu items, daily specials, and poolside offers to drive sales.

Qualifications and Skills:

• MSCE certificate required.


• MIT Diploma in Hotel Management Training is preferred.


• Previous experience as a waiter or server, preferably in a hotel, resort, or poolside setting.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• A strong focus on customer service and a positive disposition.


• Ability to perform duties in outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.


• Basic understanding of food and beverage service standards.


• Physical fitness allowing for extended periods of standing and walking.


• A team-oriented approach with a keen attention to detail and a neat appearance.

Work Conditions:

• Primary work environment is outdoors, subject to weather conditions.


• Flexible scheduling is required, encompassing weekends, evenings, and holidays.


• Strict adherence to uniform and grooming standards is mandatory.
