Vacancies: Bartenders

Sunbird Hotels and Resorts is seeking applications from qualified individuals for Bartender positions across various hotel locations nationwide.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure a consistently clean, organized, and well-stocked bar setup for each shift.


• Procure beverage stocks, condiments, and operating equipment according to established par levels.


• Greet guests warmly, present drink and food menus, offer personalized recommendations, and take orders accurately.


• Prepare and serve beverages and food items, upholding premium mixology and service standards.


• Process guest billing efficiently and actively participate in stock counts and inventory management.


• Undertake other duties as assigned by management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Attributes

• Certificate in Food and Beverage Services from an institution accredited by NCHE.


• A full Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).


• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a busy hotel bar environment.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency in mixology techniques and beverage service standards.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple tasks effectively.


• A friendly, approachable personality coupled with a genuine passion for customer service.
