VACANCY: STOCK CONTROLLER
Our thriving bar and restaurant in Lilongwe seeks a dependable, meticulously organized, and detail-focused Stock Controller to bolster our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily physical inventory counts for bar, kitchen, and restaurant supplies.
- Align physical inventory counts with Point of Sale (POS) and system records.
- Oversee and document all stock receipts, issues, transfers, wastage, and breakages.
- Monitor bar and kitchen consumption patterns, investigating any variances.
- Validate incoming deliveries against purchase orders and accompanying delivery notes.
- Generate comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
- Track stock losses, shortages, overages, and any unusual inventory movements.
- Conduct frequent spot checks and contribute to monthly full stocktakes.
- Ensure all stock movements are meticulously documented and controlled.
- Report significant discrepancies and suspected losses to senior management promptly.
- Maintain precise inventory records to support robust stock management procedures.
Requirements
- Possess a Diploma in Hospitality, Accounting, Stock Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Prior experience in stock control, the hospitality sector, restaurants, bars, or retail environments is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in Excel, POS systems, and inventory management software is essential.
- Demonstrate strong numerical accuracy, reconciliation capabilities, and analytical acumen.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail in all tasks.
- Uphold a high degree of integrity, honesty, and accountability.
- Availability to work adaptable hours, including evenings and weekends.
