HIV Diagnostic Assistant

WAKA PRIVATE CLINIC is seeking applications for the position of HIV DIAGNOSTIC ASSISTANT (HDA).

Established nine years ago, Waka Private Clinic is a well-regarded medical facility located in Lilongwe along the M1 road, conveniently situated near Wakawaka Market and adjacent to SIMSO filling station. Our comprehensive outpatient services include family planning, under-five care, STI diagnostics, HIV Testing Services (HTS), Antiretroviral Therapy (ART), Early Infant Diagnosis (EID), Antenatal Care (ANC), and minor surgical procedures, operating daily from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.

We are searching for a motivated and adaptable HDA, eager to contribute to our team. The role requires flexibility, including availability for Saturday half-day work and the willingness to undertake additional assigned duties as needed. Applicants should be between 20 and 40 years of age.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Possess a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) and demonstrate fluency in both English and Chichewa.


• Bring a minimum of one year of relevant work experience.


• Previous experience with an HIV-focused NGO is highly advantageous.


• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel, is essential.


• Hold an up-to-date proficiency test and a valid provider ID recognized by the Ministry of Health (MoH).


• Demonstrate the ability to accurately document patient data in Scanform and submit timely reports to QED.
