The Cotton Council of Malawi (CCM), dedicated to regulating and developing Malawi's cotton industry, is seeking a reliable Driver for its Balaka Office. CCM aims to foster a sustainable cotton industry through robust regulation, fair trade practices, innovation, and information sharing.

This role is crucial for transporting CCM staff, visitors, documents, and goods in adherence to Council policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of Council vehicles at all times.
• Provide transportation services for staff and visitors as assigned.
• Deliver mail and packages to various stakeholders, including the loading and offloading of official items.
• Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report any necessary repairs promptly.
• Report vehicle accidents to the police and relevant authorities.
• Conduct routine checks on vehicle condition to ensure roadworthiness.
• Advise on vehicle roadworthiness and the status of insurance validation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• A valid Driving License with P and/or G categories.
• A minimum of five years of professional driving experience.

Skills and Personal Attributes:

• Basic knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and during non-standard hours.
• Capacity to function well within a team environment.
• Must not exceed 40 years of age.
