Junior Training Support Expert
NTU International is preparing a proposal for an EU-funded project titled "Technical Assistance to ECOWAS in Transport Governance." This project aims to bolster sustainable, smart, resilient, and safe mobility systems across the ECOWAS region in West Africa. The initiative will provide crucial support to ECOWAS institutions, Member States, and regional stakeholders, enhancing transport governance, corridor management, infrastructure planning, climate resilience, and regional connectivity.
The Technical Assistance component will focus on delivering training, fostering institutional learning, and implementing capacity-building activities for ECOWAS institutions and transport sector professionals throughout the region.
NTU International is seeking a Junior Training Support Expert to aid in the coordination, organization, and execution of training and capacity-building initiatives across the ECOWAS region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the comprehensive organization and coordination of workshops, training sessions, seminars, and other learning events.
- Support the preparation of diverse training materials, presentations, reports, and workshop documentation.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for all training and capacity-building activities.
- Aid in stakeholder communication, participant coordination, and the overall management of events.
- Help collect, organize, and manage data and documentation related to training programs.
- Assist in drafting meeting minutes, progress reports, and developing monitoring tools for training activities.
- Support the facilitation of digital learning initiatives, online workshops, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
- Coordinate with trainers, consultants, institutions, and project stakeholders under the guidance of senior experts.
- Assist with the implementation of visibility and communication strategies for training programs.
- Contribute to the monitoring and reporting of all training and institutional capacity-building efforts.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Communications, Transport, Management, or a related field.
General Professional Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in training support, project coordination, event management, or administrative roles.
- Experience in development cooperation or with donor-funded projects is considered beneficial.
- Experience working in developing countries or diverse multicultural settings is an advantage.
Specific Professional Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically supporting workshops, training programs, institutional learning, or capacity-building initiatives.
- Experience in developing training materials, coordinating workshops, or engaging stakeholders.
- Exposure to EU-funded or other international development projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with digital communication tools, online learning platforms, or event coordination systems is beneficial.
- Experience working with public institutions, NGOs, universities, or regional organizations is an advantage.
Languages
- Fluency in English or French (C1 level mandatory).
- Working knowledge of the other language is considered an asset.
