Relationship Officer

POSITION: RELATIONSHIP OFFICER (RO) – INTERNS

Location: Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu branches

OVERVIEW

The RO Interns will be reporting to the Relationship Supervisors. He/she will support the sales team at Sycamore Credit Limited with prospecting, lead generation, research, and customer acquisition and support to drive growth and gain industry experience and will be required to travel out of the office as the jobs require 80% of the time in the field.

He/she will have primary responsibility for achieving the ambitious growth strategy and for positioning Sycamore Credit Limited as a leading provider of high-quality financial services in Malawi. This will include the following key areas:

• Building client relationships
• Product knowledge
• Meeting sales goals/targets
• Negotiations

Requirements

• Diploma in Banking, Business Administration or Management, Marketing or Finance, or any relevant qualifications.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Ability to work under minimum supervision
• Excellent selling skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Good customer relationship management
• Should be a self-starter
• Experience in a start-up environment is strongly preferred
• Proven ability to work under pressure and ability to embrace and manage change at all times
• Excellent communicator in both written and verbal skills in English
