Accounting Cohort – AP/AR Talent Pipeline
Location: Lilongwe (On-site Training)

Tiderise Technologies is building a pre-qualified pool of Accounting Professionals to support our growing portfolio of international clients, particularly in the Canadian and U.S. markets.

Due to increasing demand from clients for Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) support, we are proactively identifying and developing high-potential accounting talent who can be deployed quickly as opportunities arise.

What This Opportunity Involves

This is NOT a traditional immediate placement role. Instead, successful candidates will:

  • Be selected into a structured training program
  • Undergo hands-on Excel, AP/AR workflow, and system training
  • Be assessed through practical, real-world accounting scenarios
  • Join a pre-qualified talent pool (retainer-based) upon successful completion

Top-performing candidates will be placed on standby (retainer) and deployed to client roles as opportunities arise.

Why This Matters

This initiative is designed to:

  • Build North America-ready accounting talent in the Malawian market
  • Reduce hiring turnaround time for our clients
  • Give candidates access to international-standard accounting workflows and tools

For candidates, this is a unique opportunity to:

  • Gain exposure to real client accounting operations
  • Learn globally relevant tools and processes (Excel, AP/AR systems, reconciliations)
  • Position yourself for international remote work opportunities even outside of this one

Key Areas of Training & Work Exposure

Aligned to real client needs, you will be trained in:

  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Payment posting, invoicing, reconciliation
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Invoice processing, PO matching, vendor reconciliation
  • Excel for Accounting:
    • Lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation templates
  • Financial systems & workflows:
    • Exposure to tools and structured SOP-based processes

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Knowledge of accounting software, particularly QuickBooks or Sage, or other invoice processing systems, is an advantage
  • Strong foundational understanding of:
    • Debits & credits
    • Basic accounting principles
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • ICAM / ACCA (or in progress)
  • Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping

Selection Process

  1. Application screening
  2. Phone interview
  3. Skills assessment (Accounting + Excel + SJT)
  4. Training cohort selection (top candidates only)
  5. Final assessment → Talent Pool Placement

Important Notes

  • This is a pipeline/retainer opportunity, not an immediate job placement
  • Only candidates who successfully complete training and assessment will be:
    • Placed in the Tiderise Accounting Talent Pool
    • Considered for client deployment opportunities

What You Gain

  • Practical, hands-on training aligned to real client work
  • Exposure to Canadian/US accounting standards and expectations
  • Opportunity to be part of a high-demand, fast-deployment talent pool
  • Strong positioning for future international roles
