African Bible College (ABC) Mission Hospital is a dynamic, innovative and very busy health facility operating under CHAM (Christian Health Association of Malawi), committed to providing excellent and compassionate care to all patients. We are seeking suitably qualified, experienced, and dedicated individuals with high integrity to join our growing team in the following vacant positions:
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
The position of a Medical Director is very vital to ABC Mission Hospital and requires the highest level of integrity, compassion, and sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Medical Leadership: Provide strategic medical leadership, vision, and direction to the medical team, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Clinical Oversight: Oversee the clinical operations, including but not limited to patient care, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical protocols.
- Physician Management: Collaborate with the HR Manager in recruiting, training, and managing a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of medical services, implement continuous improvement initiatives and develop quality assurance programs.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership in the development and execution of medical strategies that align with the organization's long-term vision.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all medical practices, policies, and procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting agency standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution with 8 years of clinical experience and minimum 5 years in leadership role in a hospital setting.
- Postgraduate specialization in related field is an added advantage.
- Must be registered with Medical Council of Malawi.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and mission-driven service.
- Compassionate nature with the ability to make patients and feel at ease.
Remuneration: A competitive package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
