Qualifications
- Possession of a First Degree in Business Commerce (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting).
- Between 5 to 7 years of banking experience, specifically in relationship banking and client coverage.
- Demonstrated relationship management experience, particularly as a Relationship Manager within the agricultural sector.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with customers across all levels. Comprehensive product knowledge, encompassing specialized financial instruments and structures.
- Expertise in budgeting, financial forecasting, cost management, and client financial analysis.
- Essential experience in the preparation and presentation of credit applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain robust, strategic relationships with top-tier agri-business clients, acting as their principal banking liaison.
- Provide expert financial advice and devise banking solutions specifically designed for agricultural business cycles, commodity market fluctuations, and value-chain dynamics.
- Expand the agri-business portfolio by enhancing asset quality, increasing deposits, and boosting transactional volumes, thereby generating interest income (from lending and structured facilities) and non-interest revenue (from fees and commissions), contributing to balance sheet and revenue growth.
- Proactively identify, structure, and originate superior credit opportunities that align with client requirements, sector trends, and the bank's asset growth strategy. Guarantee suitable deal sizing, competitive pricing, and effective structuring to foster sustainable asset expansion.
- Prepare comprehensive, analytically robust, and policy-compliant credit applications, annual reviews, and monitoring reports that adhere to internal quality benchmarks and facilitate efficient, timely credit decisions.
- Perform thorough evaluations of credit, market, operational, and sector-specific risks. Uphold strict adherence to credit policies, risk appetite frameworks, and regulatory mandates.
- Oversee the structuring, onboarding, monitoring, and renewal of client facilities. Ensure prompt follow-ups, conduct regular account performance reviews, and efficiently resolve any client-related issues.
- Remain informed about commodity price fluctuations, climatic conditions, regulatory amendments, and value-chain advancements to enable proactive strategic planning and client engagement.
- Collaborate closely with Credit, Business Finance, Legal, Operations, and other essential stakeholders to provide seamless end-to-end client solutions and guarantee efficient transaction execution.
