Mwaiwathu Private Hospital is seeking applications for the role of Driver. This position is based at the hospital on Chileka Road in Blantyre.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Operations Officer, the Driver will provide essential administrative support across all hospital departments. A key aspect of this role involves ensuring all hospital vehicles are consistently maintained in a safe and roadworthy condition.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Transporting items to designated locations efficiently, using optimal routes.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of both the interior and exterior of assigned vehicles.
• Verifying that all deliveries are acknowledged with signed delivery notes from recipients.
• Strictly adhering to all road safety regulations and traffic laws to prevent accidents.
• Complying with all operational policies and procedures of the hospital.
• Ensuring logbooks are accurately completed and signed by authorized personnel.
• Promptly reporting any vehicle malfunctions or required maintenance to the appropriate authorities.
• Overseeing both general and preventative maintenance schedules for all vehicles.
• Confirming the validity of all vehicle documentation at all times.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Malawi School Leaving Certificate (MSCE).
• A clean and valid Driving Licence, Class P.
• Basic knowledge and practical experience in mechanics are advantageous.
• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
