ANNOUNCEMENT OF OPENINGS
The Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance (GAIA), a local Non-Governmental Organization established in 2001 and registered in Malawi in 2007, is dedicated to enhancing healthcare access. Since 2008, GAIA has collaborated with the Ministry of Health and District Councils to address healthcare gaps, improving access to quality health services in remote areas through Mobile Health Clinics (MHC). Furthermore, GAIA bolsters the health workforce by offering Nursing and Midwifery Scholarships and Fellowships.
In 2026, GAIA is broadening its reach by expanding into Nsanje District. This initiative aims to deliver vital primary healthcare services to underserved rural populations. The Nsanje program will alleviate transportation challenges for residents living far from fixed health facilities, build local capacity, and strengthen district partners to establish a comprehensive care system for the district's rural communities.
To ensure the effective execution of the Mobile Health Clinic program, GAIA is seeking to recruit highly motivated and qualified individuals for the following positions, to be based in Nsanje District:
Position: Clinical Officer (1)
Reports To: Projects Coordinator
Work Location: Nsanje
The Clinical Officer will be responsible for overseeing healthcare services within the district. This role involves providing leadership and mentorship to the team to ensure the high-quality delivery of health services.
