About the Opportunity

The Malawi Network of AIDS Service Organizations (MANASO) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Finance Assistant (Volunteer).

This role offers an exceptional chance for individuals interested in finance and accounting to acquire practical experience while supporting an organization focused on accountability, transparency, and community impact.

Role Purpose

In this capacity, you will assist the Finance Department with essential daily financial tasks. Your contributions will ensure adherence to organizational policies and support the creation of accurate financial reports and accountability measures.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping and Financial Recording

• Maintain financial ledgers and records diligently.
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and recorded.

Bank and Cash Management

• Support the bank reconciliation process.
• Oversee the proper documentation of all cash and banking transactions.

Budget Monitoring

• Track project expenditures against allocated budgets.
• Review budget variances and identify any discrepancies.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Contribute to compiling financial data for management and stakeholders.

Compliance and Internal Controls

• Ensure strict adherence to established financial policies and procedures.
• Support compliance with donor regulations and statutory requirements.

Audit Support

• Organize financial documentation to facilitate audits.
• Aid in preparing audit schedules and implementing audit recommendations.
