Data Analyst
We are actively seeking applications from qualified, experienced, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individuals to join our IT Department in the role of Data Analyst.
Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the Head of IT, the Data Analyst will be responsible for the comprehensive development, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of data pipelines and analytical models. These efforts will be crucial in supporting business intelligence, effective risk management, and driving digital innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data across the bank's various systems to identify significant patterns, relationships, and trends.
- Examine data within the bank's systems to pinpoint gaps and inconsistencies, and then lead initiatives for data cleansing to address these identified issues.
- Develop predictive and machine-learning models tailored for credit scoring, fraud detection, and customer analytics.
- Prepare insightful analytical reports and interactive dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Python, R, and SQL.
- Provide support for regulatory reporting requirements and contribute to enterprise digital transformation projects, including CRB reports and IFRS9 reports.
- Create robust processes, scripts, and tools to ensure the accurate and timely generation of reports.
- Compile and present reports and presentations that effectively communicate data insights and findings to internal stakeholders.
- Translate complex business needs into actionable analytical solutions and user-friendly dashboards.
- Manage and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and big data platforms.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills / Competencies
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field is required.
- Relevant certifications in Data Analysis, Machine Learning, or Cloud technologies are considered a significant advantage.
- Possession of ITIL Foundation certification.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Data Analysis, analytics, or Business Intelligence within a reputable organization.
