In collaboration with the Malawi Council for Disability Affairs (MACODA), Hope and Healing International actively supports the implementation of the Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID) Programme.


We are seeking qualified individuals to join our team in the role of Digital Resource Mobilizer. This position is offered on a one (1) year contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance.






















Reports To: The CBID Coordinator / Rehabilitation Manager
Grade: MCH 7.8
Duty Station: Lilongwe/Salima District
Working Hours: 8 hours per day


Role Overview


The Digital Resource Mobilizer / Healing Hugs Field Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting MACODA's operations by spearheading the collection and management of digital content for fundraising initiatives. This position is focused on capturing compelling narratives, images, and data to enhance fundraising success, boost programme visibility, and showcase impact.



Key Responsibilities



  • Gather and maintain client data, photographs, and videos essential for fundraising campaigns.

  • Conduct interviews with CBID programme beneficiaries to develop engaging human-interest stories and case studies.

  • Create and organize digital content to effectively support resource mobilization efforts.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all matters concerning digital resources.

  • Collaborate with the CBID Coordinator and District Managers to identify and prioritize high-impact stories.

  • Ensure the accurate and ethical portrayal of children with disabilities, including their backgrounds, aspirations, and achievements.

  • Facilitate the timely transfer and secure storage of digital materials using appropriate technology.

  • Perform video shooting and editing to produce high-quality content for communication and fundraising.

  • Develop and submit monthly work plans and progress reports.

  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by management.



Qualifications and Experience



  • A minimum of a Diploma in Communications, Journalism, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.

  • Proven fluency in both written and spoken English and Chichewa.

  • Candidates holding a degree will be considered an asset.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in essential computer applications, including spreadsheets and various digital tools.

  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach.

  • Possession of a valid motorcycle rider’s licence and practical riding experience.
