IT Core Banking Officer
We are seeking applications from qualified, experienced, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individuals to fill the position of IT Core Banking Officer within our IT Department.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the IT Manager – Infrastructure, the IT Core Banking Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive support, maintenance, configuration, and enhancement of the Core Banking System (CBS) and associated banking applications. This ensures the continuous delivery of services and optimal operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential day-to-day operational support for the Flexcube Core Banking System.
- Offer technical support for other critical systems as needed, including SWIFT, MITASS, and Chequepoint.
- Monitor system performance, diagnose incidents, and resolve application-related issues promptly.
- Coordinate system upgrades, patch implementations, parameter adjustments, and enhancement projects.
- Assist business units with CBS-related requests, such as product configuration, workflow modifications, and reporting needs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, operational processes, and change logs.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features, integrations, and system updates.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, change management procedures, and audit requirements.
- Liaise with vendors for escalation of incidents, problem resolution, and system performance optimization.
- Deliver training and technical guidance to end-users as required.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- CompTIA A+ certification, or an equivalent, is considered an advantage.
- ITIL Foundation certification is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT administration role within a large financial institution or telecommunications company.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically supporting a Core Banking System.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting the Flexcube system.
