About
Beta Trust is an investment trust focused on building a diversified and resilient portfolio across public equity, private equity, and commercial real estate. They are currently seeking motivated interns to support their economic research activities across various asset classes. This is a six-month internship, with a performance review after three months to assess potential continuation based on demonstrated contribution.
Key Duties
- Work closely with the investment team to conduct macroeconomic and sectoral research.
- Analyze economic and market data to support investment and strategic decision-making.
- Assist with macroeconomic analysis, including GDP growth, inflation, and interest rates.
- Track fiscal and monetary policy developments and their potential impact on investments.
- Help analyze sector- and industry-specific economic trends relevant to investment opportunities.
- Maintain and organize economic data, reports, and research documentation.
- Support the preparation of research briefs, economic reports, and presentations.
- Contribute to modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis under guidance.
- Participate in discussions about economic events and their impacts on investments.
- Support strategic research projects and ad hoc economic studies.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
Qualifications
- At least an undergraduate degree in Economics, Development Economics, Development Studies, Financial Economics, or Econometrics.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and research abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, or Python.
- Demonstrated interest in economic research, financial markets, and policy analysis.
- Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.
- A proactive and open-minded approach to work.
