GGEM Farming is a fast-growing, farmer-first marketplace transforming Malawi’s food system. We work directly with smallholder farmers to provide inputs, training, guaranteed markets, and access to processing and distribution through our own infrastructure and sales channels. Our model is designed to increase farmer income, strengthen food security, and deliver affordable, nutritious food to lowincome communities.

The Role

The MEL & Impact Lead will own and strengthen GGEM’s measurement systems to ensure the organisation can track performance, understand outcomes, and make better decisions. This role is responsible for moving GGEM beyond activity tracking to credible, outcome-level evidence, particularly around farmer income and food affordability. The role will also directly support fundraising by ensuring GGEM produces clear, credible, and decision-ready impact evidence for partners and funders.

The MEL & Impact Lead will help the organisation confidently answer: Are farmers earning more, and why?

The role will work across all teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and consistent use of data in decision-making.
