Laundry Manager (Shipboard)

Position Summary: 

This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the laundry department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Laundry Managers are integral to any facility's management. The incumbent must possess a degree of technical proficiency, the capacity to evaluate methods and procedures, extensive knowledge of equipment and supplies, sound judgment for corrective programs, and the skill to prioritize and manage comprehensive divisional initiatives.
2. The Laundry Master is directly accountable to the Executive Housekeeper for the efficient daily functioning of the laundry facility.
3. Demonstrate the ability to apply practical reasoning and execute detailed written or oral instructions, effectively addressing concerns related to guests and their specific needs.
4. Perform all core laundry functions, including washing, ironing, dry cleaning, and proper storage of all laundered items.
5. Ensure that all equipment remains fully operational at all times and coordinate with the Executive Housekeeper for timely repairs.
6. Collaborate with all divisions to guarantee proper sorting of linen, ensuring it is free of debris and categorized by color before arriving at the laundry.
7. Inspect finished products at the conclusion of each cycle to confirm desired results are achieved, enforcing strict quality controls
