Systems Engineer

UbuntuNet Alliance is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the development and operation of advanced digital services for research and education networks across Eastern and Southern Africa.

Key Duties

The role involves enterprise systems administration, cloud infrastructure management, e-infrastructure service delivery, technical support, and collaboration with regional and international partners.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Linux and Windows systems, OpenStack and Proxmox environments, systems security, and programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• A minimum of five years’ relevant experience and a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is required.
