Position: Field Support Officer

Duty Station: Thabwa, Chikwawa District

Malawi Water Project (MWP) is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and flexible Field Support Officer to support field operations, including borehole rehabilitation, biosand filter activities, and general field logistics.

This position is ideal for someone willing to travel extensively and work in remote rural areas.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Support borehole rehabilitation and biosand filter activities

• Assist the Project Officer in day-to-day field operations

• Drive MWP vehicles for field assignments

• Ensure proper vehicle care, safety, and basic maintenance

• Transport materials, staff, and equipment to project sites

• Support community mobilization activities

• Perform other duties as assigned

🔹 Minimum Requirements:

• MSCE (or equivalent)

• Valid Malawian driving licence with at least 2 years of driving experience

• Experience driving in rural and off-road conditions

• Willingness to travel and work in remote areas

• Good communication skills

• Basic computer and smartphone skills

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Basic vehicle maintenance skills (added advantage)

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
