About
Rotate Digital is seeking a Website Developer to design, build, and optimize websites for maximum search engine visibility and ranking. This remote role involves collaborating with SEO specialists to create websites that drive organic traffic and provide superior user experiences, with a focus on continuous updates and optimization. The position offers flexible working hours, but requires availability for communication and urgent requests between 9 am - 3 pm US Eastern time for those outside the USA.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive, user-friendly websites and web applications in line with Rotate Digital standards.
- Complete ad-hoc requests and optimizations for live websites to ensure client satisfaction and quality performance.
- Implement and enforce testing processes, including unit testing and code reviews, to maintain code quality and security.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and trends, sharing knowledge to drive innovation.
- Collaborate with a strong team of developers on projects, process improvements, and website quality.
- Accurately track time spent on all tasks, projects, and builds.
- Communicate clearly with other departments, responding to questions within 24 hours and acknowledging tasks promptly.
- Ensure on-time delivery of website projects (within 45 days) and ad-hoc support tickets.
- Monitor and improve website performance metrics such as page load speed and Core Web Vitals.
Qualifications
- Technically proficient in HTML, JavaScript, PHP, and other relevant web technologies.
- Ability to develop responsive websites across various devices and screen sizes.
- Capable of integrating CRMs, chat features, and other tools into client websites.
- Demonstrates initiative in exploring new technologies, asking for help, and foreseeing potential problems.
- Strong time-management skills to balance website builds, ad-hoc tickets, and special projects for on-time delivery.
- Possesses drive to achieve desired outcomes and take ownership of website quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously on non-critical issues.
- Experienced in code review and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, and systems.
- Strong understanding of systems architecture and WordPress design.
