Revenue Assurance Officer

The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) is a statutory body established under the Communications Act, 1998 to regulate the provision of services in the communications sector in Malawi, comprising telecommunications, postal and broadcasting.

MACRA is inviting suitable persons to apply for the following vacant positions tenable at its Blantyre Head Office.

REVENUE ASSURANCE OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

• Making sure that the amounts appearing on the Receivables Listing in the Receivables Ledger are realized within
• Issuing receipts for all online payments received direct into our bank accounts
• Conducting a monthly billing audit to make sure that all bills are issued correctly and timely
• Effectively maintaining key relationships with Lincensees by being the initial point of contact for Revenue queries
• Preparing and submitting monthly Revenue Assurance report
• Assist in providing revenue recognition guidance and informal training to Legal and Operations teams as required
• Works closely with operations departments in trying to identify revenue leakages.
• Works actively with internal and external auditors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized institution of higher learning
• At least three (2) years experience in Finance.
• Membership with the relevant professional body.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
