Education Specialist

About the Role

As an Education Specialist, you will provide crucial technical support and capacity building to the Ministry of Education. This role focuses on empowering district, zonal, and school-level personnel to effectively implement the BeFIT program. You will be instrumental in training and mentoring District Education Officers, Primary Education Advisors (PEAs), teachers, and School Managers, guiding them in the integration of tablet-based learning into their teaching methodologies and school systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical assistance to the Ministry of Education at various administrative levels.
• Build the capacity of educational stakeholders to implement the BeFIT program.
• Train and support District Education Officers, Primary Education Advisors, teachers, and School Managers.
• Facilitate the integration of tablet-based learning into educational practices and school management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in training and mentoring primary school teachers, including both in-service and student teachers.
• Minimum of two years of motorcycle riding experience.
• Possession of a valid rider's license obtained within the last two years.
• Demonstrated ability to be open-minded and respectful.
• Proven resilience and adaptability to new situations.
• Capacity to facilitate positive change and build sustainable working relationships.
• A strong commitment to seeking and sharing knowledge.
