This advanced role demands in-depth expertise in conceptualizing and executing various Complementary Intervention (CI) initiatives across Malawi. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with National Office personnel and Frontline Church Partners (FCPs), overseeing project lifecycles and empowering FCPs to pinpoint community and organizational needs crucial for comprehensive child development. Interventions may encompass Wash facility construction, classroom development, disaster relief, livelihood enhancement, and parental education, tailored to partner and National Office requirements.
Key duties involve needs assessment, guiding FCPs in proposal creation for funding, supporting project implementation, and meticulously reporting on progress and financial stewardship.
Important: This position is stationed at the National Office in Lilongwe, Malawi. Applications will only be considered from Malawian citizens.
Responsibilities

Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation through established channels and actively supports response efforts.
- Embodies and promotes Compassion's core cultural values.
- Drives holistic child development through specialized knowledge in construction projects, providing coaching and support to partnership facilitators and cross-functional teams.
- Facilitates community learning and program enhancement among staff and stakeholders, continuously evaluating programming needs and capacities. Analyzes national and local data to identify trends and gaps, contributing to strategy development and implementation.
- Offers expert guidance in program design, ensuring local initiatives align with global objectives. Equips National Office professionals, support staff, and FCP personnel with the knowledge and tools for holistic child and youth development.
- Assists in identifying internal and external resources for child development strategies, informing management decisions on resource allocation. Contributes to or develops funding proposals within their area of expertise.
- Leads the design, implementation, and monitoring of construction-focused development strategies. Builds capacity and facilitates engagement activities for FCPs in their specialized field.
- Analyzes program data and reports to guide management and stakeholders in refining initiatives, interventions, and improving child outcomes.
- Provides specialized support to other program staff within the National Office.

Education
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in social sciences or a closely related discipline.
Experience
- Accumulated three to five years of pertinent professional experience.
- Proven experience in social development programs including (WASH, health, economic empowerment, child development, child protection, income generation, disaster response and management, community mobilization, youth and education).
- Demonstrated proficiency in project design, implementation, and management.
- Skilled in business development and resource mobilization.
- Experience in proposal development and grant management.
- Adept at developing and managing multi-year project budgets.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30-40% of work hours.
- Equivalent qualifications through education, training, and/or certifications may be considered as substitutes for the specified experience and education.
