As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist to strengthen our data-driven decision-making processes.
Job Summary
The Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing systems to track performance, assess impact, and improve the effectiveness of IT and digital projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with data systems, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement M&E frameworks aligned with company objectives and project goals
- Design key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT and internet-based projects
- Establish data collection, management, and reporting systems
- Monitor project performance and ensure timely tracking of deliverables
- Conduct periodic evaluations, including baseline, mid-term, and end-line assessments
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess project outcomes and impact
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders
- Collaborate with technical teams to integrate M&E tools into digital platforms
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with company standards
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on findings
- Train staff on M&E tools, methodologies, and best practices
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in IT, digital, or internet-based projects
- Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Experience with data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools)
- Familiarity with database systems and digital data collection platforms
- Understanding of project management frameworks (Agile, Scrum, or similar is an advantage)
