BRANCH CREDIT SUPERVISOR
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the Branch Credit Supervisor will be responsible for the seamless execution of daily credit operations. This role is fundamental to expanding the credit portfolio with a focus on quality, in line with budgetary targets. You will lead and mentor the branch's credit team, ensuring strict adherence to the organization's credit policy and relevant industry regulations. Key duties include rigorous creditworthiness assessments, accurate loan processing, diligent monitoring and reporting, effective collection strategies, and appropriate provisioning for overdue accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all branch credit activities, including credit analysis, loan disbursements, ongoing portfolio monitoring, collection efforts, and reporting procedures.
- Ensure unwavering compliance with all credit policies, robust risk management standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Actively monitor portfolio performance, drive collection initiatives, and proactively manage overdue accounts.
- Conduct thorough reviews and provide recommendations for credit application approvals.
- Provide effective coaching and supportive guidance to the branch credit personnel.
- Contribute to the development and promotion of credit products and digital service delivery channels.
- Maintain the integrity of loan documentation, ensure accurate record-keeping, and uphold audit readiness.
- Champion exceptional customer service standards and consistently represent the institution's brand values.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of an Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in credit risk management within the financial services sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in credit analysis, portfolio management, effective communication, and strong negotiation skills.
- Proven ability in coaching, leadership, and adept problem-solving.
- Proficiency in essential Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.
