Company: Save the Children
Location: Malawi
Job Type: Full Time
Save the Children is actively recruiting a skilled and motivated Project Officer (MEAL & Advocacy) – Power of Nutrition Project. This role is pivotal in advancing the Kulimbikitsa Anthu Kupatsa Ana Tsogolo Lowala (KAKATL) initiative, operating within the Ntcheu and Balaka districts. This comprehensive five-year program, a collaborative effort with GiveDirectly and IFPRI, is dedicated to tackling the fundamental causes of chronic malnutrition and enhancing early childhood development outcomes for vulnerable Malawian communities.
The Project Officer will provide expert technical guidance across monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, research, documentation, and advocacy efforts for the project. Key responsibilities include orchestrating the development and deployment of project monitoring systems and databases, supporting the generation of crucial evidence and fostering learning, and ensuring adherence to all donor and organisational reporting mandates. Furthermore, this position will significantly contribute to strengthening advocacy strategies, refining community accountability mechanisms, and enhancing knowledge management systems to drive improvements in nutrition, social protection, and early childhood development.
In close collaboration with the PoN Project Manager, District Project Coordinators, and the Regional MEAL team, the Project Officer (MEAL & Advocacy) will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality program delivery, promoting cross-learning, and facilitating evidence-based decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
This represents an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated MEAL professional driven by a passion for child well-being, evidence-based insights, and strengthening systems that ultimately improve nutrition and early childhood development outcomes for children and their communities across Malawi.
Please note: In the event of a significant humanitarian crisis, the duties of this role may extend beyond the standard profile, requiring adjustments to working hours.
