YATHU Savings & Credit Cooperative (SACCO), an affiliate of MUSCCO, is a member-owned financial cooperative dedicated to mobilizing savings and promoting sustainable growth and development for its members through cost-effective inclusive programming.
Our Lilongwe branch is seeking honest and dynamic individuals for the following position:
ASSISTANT MARKETING OFFICER
This role is responsible for promoting and positioning the SACCO brand, along with its products and services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for the SACCO brand.
- Lead member recruitment initiatives to drive SACCO membership growth.
- Educate members on the products and services offered by the SACCO.
- Conduct market research and analysis to understand market dynamics and trends.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify marketing needs and ensure alignment with sales targets.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Engage in networking at events and trade shows to promote the brand.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to the Marketing Officer.
ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills, prioritization abilities, and capacity to meet deadlines.
- A solid understanding of popular social media platforms to identify those most effective for sales generation and brand awareness.
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas and messages clearly.
- Persuasive communication abilities to promote products/services and encourage SACCO membership.
- Capacity to generate new ideas and innovative approaches for member engagement.
- Ability to propose innovative promotional ideas, appealing designs, and strategies to enhance marketing material impact.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or Business Management.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
