- Reports To: Community Health Nurse/Nurse and Midwife Technician
- Indirect Reporting: Ward-In-Charge
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nutritional education to vulnerable community members.
- Oversee and guide subordinate Home Craft Workers.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to supervisors.
- Accurately weigh children, identifying those who are sick or underweight.
- Facilitate the referral of sick or underweight children to nursing or clinical staff.
- Provide feeding support for sick and underweight children.
- Educate mothers on preparing nutritious meals for children of all ages.
- Instruct mothers/guardians on the six essential food groups.
- Promote effective kitchen organization and hygiene practices.
- Conduct home visits to provide family-based education.
- Engage in under-five and outreach clinic activities.
- Lead cooking demonstrations during health talks and clinic sessions.
- Maintain meticulous records of children receiving nutrition services.
- Manage the ordering and care of supplies for vulnerable groups, including pregnant women, sick children, underweight infants, and HIV-positive mothers and children.
- Oversee the ordering and distribution of food for underweight infants and children.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- MSCE or equivalent.
- Possession of a Certificate in Home Craft.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience at Grade M.
