Job Type: Full Time

About the Role

Save the Children is actively seeking a skilled and dynamic Climate Technical Advisor – GCF Supported Programme to provide crucial technical leadership for the implementation of climate-resilient health interventions under a Green Climate Fund (GCF) initiative.

This position will focus on enhancing climate change adaptation within health systems, ensuring that all interventions are grounded in evidence, technically sound, and effectively integrated into national and district-level planning and execution. You will collaborate closely with government stakeholders, technical experts, and programme teams to bolster climate resilience and strengthen early warning and response mechanisms.

The role also involves supporting the establishment of technical tracking systems and quality assurance measures to ensure effective programme delivery and accountability.

Additionally, the post holder will play a vital role in mentoring and capacity building for local technical assistants through structured learning-by-doing methodologies, thereby enhancing national capacity for sustainable climate-resilient programming.

This represents an exciting opportunity for a climate change and health specialist with robust technical expertise and practical field experience to contribute to a high-impact programme aimed at building resilience to climate shocks and protecting vulnerable populations.

The selected candidate is expected to be available for immediate commencement of duties.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the post holder will be expected to adapt to non-standard responsibilities and working hours as required.
