Robotics Technician (2 Positions)

Reporting Structure: This role reports to either the Programs Manager or the Operations Manager.

Primary Objective: The core purpose of this position is to deliver essential technical assistance for the assembly, upkeep, and repair of robotics kits and associated equipment. Additionally, the technician will contribute to educating students and educators on robotics and electronics, while actively supporting the execution of STEM programs and competitive events.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, rigorously test, and maintain a variety of educational and industrial robotics kits.


• Offer crucial technical support during workshops, intensive bootcamps, and competitive events.


• Contribute to the creation of engaging instructional resources for robotics training initiatives.


• Guide and mentor students and teachers in the practical application of robotics, electronics, and programming.


• Diagnose and resolve both hardware and software challenges encountered with robotics kits and equipment.


• Effectively manage and maintain an accurate inventory of robotics tools, components, and necessary supplies.


• Provide support for the design and development of innovative robotics products or components.


• Uphold and enforce strict safety standards throughout all practical training sessions.


• Generate comprehensive technical reports and necessary documentation as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.


• Demonstrated practical experience in robotics, electronics, or other relevant technical domains.


• Proficiency in robotics programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java is a valuable asset.


• Familiarity with microcontrollers like Arduino or REV Robotics is highly preferred.


• Aptitude for 3D printing, CAD software, or prototyping techniques is considered a plus.


• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting.
