Job Description

The person must possess the following: –

• An MSCE
• Drivers` license.
• Defensive Driving Certificate.
• Any relevant medical Certificate.
• A minimum of 3 years experience.
• Ability to carry out assigned route on time.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Mthunzi Funeral Services is inviting applications from suitable candidates to fill a vacant position of Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting the deceased and individuals along designated routes from one location to another as assigned and will report directly to the Client Service Consultant / Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting all funerals in a professional manner at all times.
• Driving allocated vehicle to remove the deceased from place of death to parlor.
• Driving allocated vehicle to ferry the deceased to place of burial.
• Operating and cleaning cemetery equipment.
• Checking all cemetery equipment after use and report any faults.
• Conducting chapel service.
• Logging mileage and referencing for all trips.
• Recording fuel transaction in vehicle mileage logbook.
• Washing, dressing and embalming
• Complying with Drivers laid down rules.
• Pitching tents.
• Night duties.
• Any other duty as may be assigned.
