About the Role

Save the Children is actively seeking a highly organized and performance-oriented Operations Coordinator – GCF Supported Programme. This position is crucial for ensuring the effective execution of a climate resilience initiative funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF).

The role will concentrate on enhancing operational efficiency, diligent financial oversight, streamlined stakeholder engagement, and robust risk management to guarantee the timely and high-quality delivery of project activities at both district and national levels. You will collaborate closely with District Coordinators, government officials, and the GCF Programme Management Unit (PMU) to facilitate seamless programme implementation.

As the Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing detailed operational work plans, monitoring progress via dedicated dashboards, and proactively identifying and resolving any impediments that could delay delivery. This role also involves fostering cross-team collaboration to ensure alignment and efficient activity execution.

Furthermore, you will support financial acceleration by monitoring budget utilization, ensuring expenditures align with implementation plans in partnership with the GCF Finance Manager. You will also assist with procurement and contracting processes in conjunction with the Supply Chain Coordinator.

The position will also strengthen field-level stakeholder coordination, ensuring effective communication, follow-up, and escalation channels with government implementing partners. A significant aspect of this role involves identifying operational risks and supporting mitigation strategies in collaboration with senior management and the GCF PMU.

The selected candidate is expected to be available for immediate commencement of duties.
