Our organization is dedicated to supporting a significant international, donor-funded electrification initiative. This programme aims to broaden access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy throughout Africa. We are seeking to fill four specialist roles in Malawi. These positions will be instrumental in achieving national priorities and broader programme objectives.
Policy & Delivery Expert
This role involves leading programme execution to ensure initiatives meet defined targets, alongside providing clear direction and accountability across all delivery workstreams. Responsibilities include supporting the development of a robust project pipeline, contributing to practical policy and regulatory enhancements, and identifying and resolving operational challenges. The expert will also engage with government, donors, and private sector stakeholders to align priorities and facilitate funding approaches essential for successful delivery.
Team Leader
The Team Leader will translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, driving implementation and sustaining delivery momentum. This position entails leading programme execution, offering clear guidance to teams, and overseeing progress against key milestones. Responsibilities also include managing senior stakeholders across various organizations and proactively identifying and resolving potential risks and delivery obstacles.
MEL Expert
The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Expert will be responsible for designing and implementing monitoring frameworks to accurately track performance, ensuring high data quality and dependable reporting. Key duties include leading programme evaluations, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and transforming data into clear, actionable insights for informed decision-making.
Finance Expert
This expert will provide crucial support to funding and investment processes through comprehensive financial analysis and structured solutions, encompassing debt, equity, and grant financing. The role involves constructing and reviewing financial models to guide investment decisions, contributing to tariff and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) structures, and facilitating the deployment of development finance and private capital.
A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in donor-funded energy or infrastructure programmes is a mandatory requirement for all positions.
