PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (1)

 REPORTING TO                    : SENIOR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
LOCATION                           : DAEYANG LUKE HOSPITAL, LILONGWE
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT    : TWO YEAR
GRADE                                 : K
SALARY                                : CHAM SALARY SCALE

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dispensing drugs to patients and educating them correct usage of drugs.
• Analysis of prescription patterns and provide appropriate advice to Hospital Management team.
• Pharmacy stock management.
• Receiving prescriptions for dispensing.
• Managing pharmaceuticals and other medical supplies.
• Inventory management.

Educational qualifications, experience and attributes.

• Diploma in Pharmacy with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a busy health facility.
• Registered with the Pharmacy, Medicines and poisons Board
• Contract is renewable depending on satisfactory performance.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY/SKILLS

• Well conversant with the health system in Malawi.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Effective communication skills.
• Problem identification and solving skills.
• Willingness to abide by the vision and core values of the hospital.
