Mechanic Assistant

Unitrans Malawi Limited, a prominent employer within the sugar and agriculture industries, is looking to recruit a qualified Malawian national for a vacant position at its Dwangwa Depot in Nkhota-kota.

Position: Mechanic Assistant

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting artisans in maintaining, modifying, installing, and repairing plant and machinery. This may involve inspecting plant or production areas and reporting faults to artisans to facilitate the scheduling of maintenance or repairs, thereby minimizing losses.

Applicant Specifications

• A minimum of a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).


• A Grade 2 National Trade Test Certificate (or equivalent) from a recognized learning institution.


• Willingness to work irregular hours or in shifts as dictated by workload demands.
