Urunji Child-Care Trust, known as Urunji, is a local Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to combating malnutrition and illiteracy. We provide essential meals and educational resources to underprivileged children across Malawi. Urunji Child-Care Trust operates independently and is not an orphanage.

Urunji Child-Care Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grant Research and Proposal Writing Expert to enhance our fundraising and resource mobilization efforts. The chosen candidate will be responsible for identifying grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, governments, and international donors. They will also craft compelling funding proposals that align with our mission to support vulnerable children and strengthen communities in Malawi.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research to identify suitable grant opportunities.
• Develop and author high-quality grant proposals and concept notes.
• Maintain an active grant pipeline and manage a funding calendar.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and develop project budgets.
• Support donor reporting requirements and contribute to the development of fundraising strategies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in grant research and proposal writing.
• A strong understanding of international development principles and nonprofit fundraising practices.
• Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
• A history of successfully securing grants is considered an advantage.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet established deadlines.
