About the Program

Green Economies Made Simple (GEMS) is offering an Innovation Hub Internship Program, a 10-month practical training initiative focused on fostering Malawi's circular economy. This program emphasizes recycling, manufacturing, and sustainable business development, providing interns with hands-on experience in real-world projects.

Key Experience Areas

Interns will gain valuable experience in a multidisciplinary environment across various fields, including:

• Business administration and operations
• Sales and marketing strategies
• Accounting and financial management
• Recycling technologies and equipment processes
• Product development and small business growth

Support Provided

GEMS is committed to supporting its interns through:

• A monthly transport stipend of MWK 300,000
• Provision of lunch at the Hub
• Practical mentorship and significant business exposure

Who Should Apply

We are building a diverse and multidisciplinary team and encourage applications from motivated young individuals interested in entrepreneurship, sustainability, and practical business development. Ideal candidates include recent graduates or those who excelled academically but may not have had university opportunities. Backgrounds in engineering, business administration, sales & marketing, accounting, environmental studies, and entrepreneurship are particularly encouraged.
